Help me find a system board for a Sony Vaio PCG-812 Notebook !!!

I got a great deal on one (<$500), but the motherboard is toasted, and the warranty has run out.

I need to find a place to find a new system board for this thing, or find a place to get it repaired (in Canada).

It's a **** sweet system, and it comes with all the bells and whistles, just not a working system board.

Have you tried contacting Sony directly? They may be the only ones with replacement boards. I did some looking without any success. All I could find were people complete notebooks. Seems like it wasn't such a good deal after all... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
