SysOpt 11-07-1999, 10:24 PM SysOpt is hosted on EarthWeb's two load balanced production servers at a secure facility (fingerprint identification needed for entry, pretty cool stuff) called Globix in Manhattan, featuring state of the art hardware and an OC-3 backbone (1.8Gbps) connection to the Internet. No modems here. The site is lighting fast on my DSL line in California. Anyone else having performance problems? [This message has been edited by SysOpt (edited 11-07-1999).] chipbgt 11-07-1999, 10:27 PM nope! I think a certain bug may be going at a snails pace socalgal 11-07-1999, 10:38 PM No, everything a-ok here. DSL runs pretty good in SoCal too... codybear 11-07-1999, 10:44 PM I'm just across the bay from the bug and everything is fine here CMonster 11-08-1999, 12:49 AM Beat me didn't you Socalgal! /forum/smile.gif Well, DSL could be in my near future too. socalgal 11-08-1999, 08:07 AM You're gonna love it CMonster /forum/smile.gif I got the ELN package. They provide excellent customer service and tech support, as I had the occasion to find out recently, due to my own shenanigans... IMHO, and due to recent experience, I would avoid PacBell's service package like the plague. (Though they may provide the modem, installation and teleservice in your area, in connection w/ELN.) Also, ELN has dynamic IP, PacHell, er Bell's is static. emcron 11-08-1999, 08:25 AM I'm on a 56k modem and the site loads up pretty fast.
