This is a copy of the tech request I just sent in to Diamond MM Leagacy Support but I doubt I'll get a response any time soon if at all so I could please use some help:
Please consider the following question,
> In Reference To: Monster 3DII
> Operating System: windows98
> Bus Type: AGP
> Primary Display: Diamond SpeddStar A50
> Monitor: ADI MicroScan P6
> CPU Type: pentiumII
> CPU Speed: 233
> Motherboard: Abit LX6
> Chipset: 82371AB
> No answer found in FAQ.
> Question: On rebooting computer I'm now, for no apparent reason, getting a garbled screen so that nothing can be seen. I disconnected the Monster 3D II and the video display is fine now. I can't associate this problem with any new drivers or software recently installed so I have to assume hardware failure. Are there any tests or checks I can perform to verify this situation? TIA.

hey Toad from another Toad.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
If you can, try another pass-thru cable. I've heard of many cases where they get kinked from the U-bend it causes and breaking the leads internally. Can you borrow a friend's and try it out?

Is the screen garbled at the start (POST), or just when you boot into Windows? If it's OK before going into Windows, it's probably a driver, screen resolution, or refresh rate problem. If it's that way at POST, then most likely a hardware problem.
