Biff 04-26-2000, 07:42 PM Go into system properties, device manager, look for sond card and delete Susan 04-26-2000, 09:09 PM Also - Go into Add/Remove Programs and remove the sound program if it's there, too. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Rebooting an extra time after both are removed doesn't hurt, either. stppetty 04-27-2000, 04:18 PM Thanks for the help everyone.I'm learning more each day. Dallasmcse 04-27-2000, 04:27 PM well, be sure to remove your old sound card from box and do what was said above. After clean boot, then go ahead with new install. 36 mb?? Must have cd jukebox or some other extra stuff in it.When you are askked for loc of new driver drill down to the inf file for your os. Save loading the other junk 'till you are sure you want it. Nathan 04-27-2000, 06:16 PM Also check in safe mode in device manager. Make sure no sound cards are listed there too. SysOpt.com
