Go into system properties, device manager, look for sond card and delete

Also - Go into Add/Remove Programs and remove the sound program if it's there, too. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Rebooting an extra time after both are removed doesn't hurt, either.

well, be sure to remove your old sound card from box and do what was said above. After clean boot, then go ahead with new install.
36 mb?? Must have cd jukebox or some other extra stuff in it.When you are askked for loc of new driver drill down to the inf file for your os. Save loading the other junk 'till you are sure you want it.

Also check in safe mode in device manager. Make sure no sound cards are listed there too.
