Final System Conflicts???

A while back i posted a thread asking for advice on my new system... here are my almost-final choices. I'm asking if any of you see and important conflicts that could occur do to hardware choice or if there are any last suggestions... thanks.

You have got some hi spec gear in your shopping list, BUT, why only a celeron 400, the 500 is much better at very little extra.
Also, you have a SCSI re-writer and of course SCSI card, why not a SCSI hard disk and CD reader aswell?, will cut down on possible incompatibility issues and make the system ZOOM !!!

i'm actually going to drop the celeron's down to 366's so i can overclock them better. Also i don't have enough money to go all scsi. but that would be nice! /forum/smile.gif

well Pollux it looks like your going to have a very nice system. The only thing I might disagree with is your selection of a video card. I am in the process of building a system right now and was planning on buying the Viper v770 ultra also when I ran across this. http://www.firingsquad.com/guides/tnt2buyers/default.asp
this is a review that compares all of the video cards that currently use TNT2. Due to several points made in this article I chose instead to get the CL 3D Blaster Ultra. It seems to have better RAM (5ns) compared to the Viper which would allow for a better chance to overclock the card, and the 2 cards are almost identical in price. I hope you take the time to read the article you might change your mind as well. Enjoy your new system /forum/smile.gif.

Just a couple things...

Drop the Elite Keyboard and the Explorer mouse.

The original MS Natural is good. The new Natural Pro is better. The Elite is a mistake.

The Intellimouse Pro is the best MS mouse made.

The Pro mouse is much easier on your hands and fingers. Comfort at it's best. I've been using it since day one and like it very much. When the Explorer mouse came out, I immediately went out to get one, convinced it was a better version of the Pro mouse. Compared with the Pro, the Explorer is a NoGo. Skip it. I returned it within the hour.
