I just built a new system using a Gigabyte GA-6VXE+ motherboard. I am using a 3dfx Voodo 3 AGP video card, a Trident PCI sound card, with 64meg pc100 ram. The machine works good except I cant get the USB ports to work. I installed a camera and Windows detected it and I installed the drivers that came with the camera. When I rebooted the light on the camera stays on all the time. ( should not be on unless you start the program for the camera ) When I start the camera program it locks up the machine. I took the camera to work and installed it on another machine and it worked fine. I went to the VIA web site ( the company that made the chipset) and found a driver called the USB filter driver. It is supposed to enable the USB ports. When I tryed to install the driver it causes a Regestry error and stops the install program. No conflicts are showing up in Device manager. I have Win 98 second edition. Please help
