I know what you mean about those mini cases they use...what a waste. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
Even Compaq uses better cases than that so one can upgrade.
And here are your drivers:

Thanks Susan, but I had already been there.
Its the sound drivers the ones that I can not get any where in the net. I been fixing computers for over 5 yrs, the first thing I did, is check the HP site for the specified product.
Its really odd the way that the sound is integrated in the board, win98se detects a new pci device sound card, but generic drivers are not doing the trick. I think that I am going to have to budge and contact the HP people.
I have honestly looked in almost every corner of the net for sound drivers, I even post on all the boards that I am a member of, to see if anyone has this style of computer so I can get the drivers of them.
I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT BRAND THE BOARD IS!!
wow... I don't think I have ever had so much headache with a system b4.
I might just toss a sound card in it!
Thanks Richamis, I am giving up my quest for the drivers soon!
BTW: The hp site and the intel site do not have drivers for the sound in the board, I am not sure if it is an intel board, I know it uses intel 810 chipset, that's about it!

My friend brought his mighty HP system for me to fix it a bit. he wanted a burner in what seems to be be a miniature of a mini case, and wanted an upgrade on the OS.
Man what a Mistake......
I got my self in a nasty mess... their is an extra bay for the burner to fit, but the face plate covers it. He said he didn't mind if he lost the face plate, when I open the computer.... Surpize!!! the thing is sealed off!
anyhow, decided on removing the regular cd rom and put the burner only instead... This is a mission impossible, since to get to the cd rom, I have to remove the board and take the case apart!
Man! Frustrating.
To further add to the problems, the comp uses an intel 810 chipset, and I figure it would be easy enough to find drivers.
I got the video to work again, but I can't get the integrated sound to work!
I can't even find the brand name of the board.
I think that I manage to get the modem working again, but I tell you, it has been frustrating....
If anyone knows anything about where to get drivers for a pavillon 6630 please hook me up!

From looking at that, all the drivers are shipped with the system(possibly on a recovery cd?).
Hope it helps a bit http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.
