unless you will be running a multi-processor NT, Linux, or Unix kernel, a dual processor will do almost nothing for you except drain your wallet. The vast majority of PC based programs couldn't use dual processors because the way they are programmed. If you are looking for performance, buy faster DIMM RAM, a fast AMD ATHLON or intel XEON chip, and get a nice AGP video card with a built in 3D accelerator and lots of video RAM.
