Does anyone have any idea why when I am playing games sometimes the screen starts to spin in circles. Only by pushing a few times on the up and down keys does it kick out of it. My system is as follows:
Pentium III 450
128 ram
Viper 770V Ultra video card
Awe 64 sound card
Logitech Interntet Keyboard
Gigabyte 440bx motherboard

I am thinking it is a sound card problem but I have loaded all the new drivers from Creative Labs. I am not using a joystick when this happens. Games this has happened on are so far are Might and Magic VIII and Lands of LoreIII.

Can I clarify something?
Do you mean what is on your screen spins like clockwise or anticlock.. or do you mean scroll up or down (rolling)like an old tv set?

Or perhaps he means it's acting like he's standing still and spinning around Michael Jackson-style... ?

My screen spins in a clockwise circle. I have Nortons system works and it scans everything on boot up.

Apologies to all if last post sounded mad, but who else spins in place like MJ? I'll use any example I get!

So like, is the picture on the screen turning so the letters/picture are sideway, upside down, sideways, right side up, sideways, upside down over and over and over?

i know a trojan program that has a virus that causes that. uhm.. but if you haven't really been doing anything that can make u have a virus, then i don't know. but remember ALL VIRUSES and TROJANS can't be detected by virus scanners. So sometimes, even you have the latest DAT files, some can pass thru cuz newer viruses are being made everyday.

BAD FORM Morph - funny though.....

but a clearer description of what you mean by "roll" would help.

Definitely put all else on hold and do a virus definition update followed by a scan of all your hard drives - followed by a scan of every floppy you have had out in the last 3 weeks, and a scan of any music CD's you've played on your system in the same time frame - yes - production music CD's have been known to come off the line with viruses imbedded on them....
