Maybe it is not my place to suggest things but i am sure you won't mind.
It seems to me that there are always useful utilities and downloads suggested in this site, but if you don't get them straight away the thread is often lost in amongst all the other posts. Would it not be a good idea for there to be a forum for solely putting up links to useful goodies and stuff to make it easier for everyone to find the utilities that they might be desiring so much.?????
just a thought, ignore it if you want!

There are a lot of places to visit at:
http://www.sysopt.com/links.html

But I do know what you're saying. Not long ago, Scott started a thread asking for advice from all of us here on ways to improve the site. That was one of the things suggested.

What do ya think Scott? Is it possible?

P.S. Come to think about it, my isp does give me 5MB of web space. Maybe I could do it, and you could put a link to it from here. I don't know, just a suggestion. They may not like the bandwidth. /forum/frown.gif Let me know.

Plans are in the works for such a tip database. The hard part is figuring out how to implement it in an orderly way so that it will be as useful as possible for everyone and as easy to maintain as possible. Categories for such a system would include useful utilities (where people could vote for their favorite), performance tips, troubleshooting advice, etc...

Hey, I'm glad to hear that! This bb is nice, not just because of the percentage of advice theat is good, (compared to other ones) but because of the fact that the administration is flexible in accepting ideas from non-staff members!!!

Sounds like you had already thought of it. Good we are all on the same wavelength!
