AuraEdge 11-02-1999, 03:01 PM Yeah..the 2 sticks takes up another precious DIMM...Anything besides that is just nitpicking. Brian48 11-02-1999, 03:08 PM There is zilch difference. Go with the two DIMMs if you can only afford one right now, otherwise go for the 128 to save a slot. That's about the only advantage you'll ever see. mykel 11-02-1999, 03:24 PM Cool.. Thanks you guys.. Well the reason why I asked is because 64MB costs $59 and the 128MB costs $142.. Since they don't have the difference on speed, I'll get the 64MB.. And I still have one free slot, I can stick a 128MB or 256MB once the memory prices go down again.. Thanks you guys.. /forum/smile.gif Toadman 11-02-1999, 03:49 PM You got a good price on that 64mb stick, less than a buck a meg! I'm throwing another 64mb in mine today for a total of 128 (finally!). My CMOS and Award BIOS should pick it up, right? What size should I set my swap file to now to reduce HD thrashing? About half the available RAM? pickel 11-02-1999, 07:03 PM Mykel, Where'd you get the RAM? I'd like 64Mb so whenever I get my daughter her computer, I can stick it in right quick!! mykel 11-02-1999, 09:15 PM www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) There you'll see all the memory deals.. They're cheap, just look for the one that has the cheapest shipping coz sometimes it cost $59 for the RAM you will be charged $24 on the shipping.. I hope you get the idea... Go to each dealers website and find out the shipping price..Got mine for $14 shipping ( ACCESSMICRO.COM )...Happy buying. SysOpt.com
