in Germany ... thats about 195 USD but still to expensive. The last Module I bought was about 200,00 DM ( 112 USD. I think the manufacturers and dealers want to make the money they lost in RAM in the last three years!

I have been to pricewatch and I saw the prices falling but at all the local retail stores they are still selling at extrememly high prices!!!!!! I figure they must have bought alot of ram when the price was high and still must sell it at such a high price to make up? Sounds logical but I may be wrong?

I'm sure it's a matter of volume & turnover. Keeping an eyeball on prices online and hoping by Dec/Jan it's more reasonable all over.
Might want to cross check some of the lower-priced vendors in Reseller Ratings if you buy online like I do.

The problem with online buying is, they give you a good price and then rip you off on shipping. $12.00 to 18.00 to ship within 300 miles or any distance for Ram or processors is talking it to for. Should be a law against
padding shipping.

I paid $234 for 128MB PC100 8ns ram today too. That was from a dealer one state away. That's the price for the weekend, he sold it to me for that because that is what they paid for it. Since then it went up $6. That price is after $6.50 for shipping, that's not bad. The price has dropped $20 in two weeks. You can see the prices going down but that's for the generic brands. You do only get what you pay for. I heard the price was high because of the earthquake too.
