Yesterday i installed with a little trouble 2 golden orb heatsinks on my BP6 mobo. I made the necessary modification on them and finaly got them on. I may have touched a capacitor a bit, and i made sure not to bend the board. When I booted up my computer it couldn't detect the harddrives. Each time i boot and try to detect teh HDDs i get one beep and the keyboard stops working! I tried running it without the fans plugged in and no luck, same error.

Is it possible that i dammaged my mobo? If not what can i do to solve this problem?

try reinstalling the Highpoint controller drivers-what bios are you running?also try using the lastest bios & driver(Beta) from Abit 's ftp site
ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/beta/bp6. also list your system spec, ie what OS,Hard drive type ect.
shoot me a e-mail if you need any help gene

BP6 board uses Award BIOS. For Award BIOS, one (long) beep means a memory problem. Have you checked your memory?
