Just recently installed Return to Napali on my BE6/Celeron 400/128 MB PC100 RAM, Diamond Viper V770 Ultra2, Maxtor 20.4 GB ATA66/7200 RPM, Creative AWE64 Value running Win98 all up to date and the most recent drivers except that I've gone to the nVida reference Detonator drivers and my situation seems to have improved by at least 5%. But the main problem is I'm getting SERIOUS lag just playing the game normally not multiplayer. I've been on-line with the game site support live help but they weren't able to offer much help. I'm running 800X600 @16 bit color and when I run in safe mode in a window it works fine. By the way, how do I know that the proper busmastering drivers are being implemented with the hdd on the HighPoint controller. I installed XStore Pro which is supposed to change these drivers but I'm not sure it's right. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an installation sheet worked up for the installing of Highpoint Controller device drivers. The latest drivers are ver 1.22 I believe. If you are interested in the install procedure e-mail me & I'll send it to you.

try running the freeware program winramturbo free http://www.scselp.com/winramturbo/dnldfree.html to release tied-up system memory and then running the game. Or you could try making a boot disk for the game.
just an idea
