I had to restore my system files and now IE 5.01 will not download Active X and Java controls for Fidelity's Powerstreet Pro program. I get an error message stating that my security settings will not allow Activex controls. The controls are not down loaded in the appropriate Java folders.

Fidelity support says it a file problem in IE 5.01, but I've reloaded it with he updates 3 or 4 times and this doesn't help. I've lowered the security settings and this doesn't help.

I've tried to restore 4.01 withh SP2 but IE5 won't allow this and I cannot uninstal IE5 to reload 4.01.

Win Mag's Browser Tune shows that the IE 5.01 brower dosn't support neither Active X nor Java.

Any one have any suggestions. I'm not sure if it's a setting problem or file problem.

I have ie4 so maybe this doesn't apply besides being way too simple an answer! There are some Java options on the Advanced tab of the Internet options, ie, View, Internet Options, Advanced. Maybe ie5 has ActiveX options also?

Actually, the controls might be java controls instead of ActiveX. It worked before I restored the system files.
