Tape Diskette to CD - How? Anyone?

Anyone know how I can feed audio from tape diskette into computer and burn onto CD-Rs?

I can only think of the poor man's way (my way)- line in to the sound card and use a program like sound recorder to put the music on the hard drive as a .wav then burn to CD ... I too would like to know how to convert the waves into digital audio format/what software to use so that they would play on any CD player...

Dear CMonster: I'll try poor man's way! I have a dozen French study tapes I'd love to have on CD. So, from my tape player run a line in to "line in" on soundcard... I know the wav bit as that's how I do my audio CDs.
Then . . . Can you detail your procedure for me? Much appreciated!
