i got this error that said that there was a
'non system disk or disk error place and press any key when ready'. i checked all my drives and there was nothing now what do I do?

I usually get this when I've left a floppy in the drive by mistake. If it's not that, then your hard drive has a problem. It could be a corrupt master boot record which might be fixed by running fdisk with the /mbr switch. It could also be virus. After that things can get serious in hurry. I wouldn't want to go further without more info.

this could also be cause if you have a bootable CD drive and have a CD in the drive...
Go into the BIOS and see what order your system is set to boot up ie C drive 1st A drive the CD drive....
if the problem occurs when you have no disks in the a drive or cd rom drive then that is a whole new ball game.
