CompuMaster sent me an add for a 2 day troubleshooting clinic, and a 1 day advanced clinic. I am pretty much up on about 85% of the topics covered in the 2 day clinic, so I was considering the advanced clinic. Has anyone had any experiences with CompuMaster clinics? The 2 day is $399. and the 1 day is half that.

For $200 you can replace any faulty part that needs troubleshooting.

It might cost $200 to replace a seemlingly broken component once, but having the skills to troubleshoot and potentially save that $200 time and time and time again would make up for the class if it was well taught.

Classes tend to bore me; but this here forum is the best learning tool I got. Its kinda like a free class, that makes u come back every day just cuz ya like it so dang much. /forum/smile.gif

BTW for 600 smackers, u can get yerself a guinea pig system, use it for every day use, eventually screw sumthing up (we all do...) and post about it. Then youll get the answers you need answered. Classes are mostly hypotetical and no real hands on.
Maybe a Highschool student has a different opinion than a college or postgrad student, but all my classes bore the heck outta me (yea even the comp science teacher wit the two bit brain that freaked out when someone renamed the icon's on the desktop...I got extra credit for fixing that tho /forum/smile.gif)

I agree with you AE, I've learned alot here also, and I have a spare system that I can play with and not worry about crashing. That also has been a great benefit. What I would hope to gain from a class like this, is that it would be a benefit to future employment, or business venture that I may start, such as repairing and upgrading existing systems.
According to the add, they do provide a hands on training enviroment.
