well, as you may be able to tell from the subject, i am a bit PO'd. now, i have an ISP. admitedly, they aren't the best ISP on earth, but they do try. now, tonight, i dialed into the server 50 times. it never picked up once. why? because my phone calls never got to the server. they were ALL lost in the router. this is because my phone company is sabotaging my ISP because they are starting their own. they say "oh, yes, the router is having problems." how long has this been going on? almost 7 months. us west was supposed to bring in a T3 in JANUARY, because my local telco doesn't have the capability to bring them in. then, all of a sudden, quite a coincidence, the router started having problems. if you are building a house, and need a phone line put in, you have to wait about 6 months. now i ask, is this ethical behavior? by the way, how conveneint, the only lines afected are the servers lines. what company is acting in such a manner? Citizens Telecom. i just wish that there was something i could do. but, i ask, if they can't even handle their router, how will they handle their own ISP? okay, rant over.

bringspeed do you have some kind of telecoms regulator, ombudsman or office of fair trading you could go to? In the UK we have an independent body called Oftel which is supposed to rap the knuckles of telecoms companies that try this sort of stuff.
The main problem however would be proof of deliberate action, and your ISP would probably have to kick up a fuss too.

that's the exact problem. i don't have any proof, just some coincidences that are too bad to be true. /forum/smile.gif

Hi bringspeed,
Does your state have a Public Utilities Commission? In California, that's who you complain to about a public utility run amok.
Even if you have no solid evidence, maybe others have complained also and the total weight of everyone's voice will be heard. It's worth a try.
