I just got a Diamond Viper V770, and I put it in, and all it shows is a whole bunch of symbols. It goes everywhere fine, but everything is symbols, even the plain screen. What can I do?????? I just bought this thing, and I put a fan on it, so I wonder if OI can still take it back...?

I am guessing that this is an AGP card... you might want to make sure that it is seated as far down as it will go in the slot.

It is seated all the way. I'm gonna ring it back mondday if I don't get to work

make sure that your bios does not differentiate between primary video being PCI or AGP. this is before you even instlal drivers etc?
and did you remove your old video and install standard vga drivers before you put the viper in?

Just to clarift things, I had the Video card working before, for about an hour, of solid playing NFS 3. Then I touched the Heatsink, and it gave me a secere burn! I though jesus christ, and I grebbed for the nearest fan, and hooked it up (not exactly)

When I put the Video card back in, i had all the symbols and stuff. I am thinking that it is a faulty Card, and it burned itself out. I am gonna bring it back monday, if I get a chance.
