Hi Zero28th

Here's an interesting article, if you haven't seen it.

http://www.sysopt.com/articles/memory/index.html

I'm not sure what to think about it, yet...

Price & the marketplace will decide this. Still too early for me to have an opinion, as Rambus has to establish itself yet with a track record.
However... did anyone NOT notice Intel's stance with regard to memory allocation on the new boards?
I'm SO glad there's Abit, AOpen, MSI, Soyo etc...

Im gunna make a prediction here. Although DDR Ram was never ment to used as physical ram (only meant to be used in Video RAM so far), it will be applied by some motherboard companies, although not including Intel. Intel will stick to RAMBUS and if its price doesnt drop, have extremely high priced consumer computers. However, us build it yourself people will be able to choose from other companies' mainboards, and be able to use DDR at a much cheaper price than high end compaq's or gateway's intel boards equipped with RAMBus.

The future of the industry is a complete mystery, just putting in my 2 cents
