Instead of making multiple posts of different questions, I figured it'd make more sense with just one topic.
Anyway, I originally planned on getting an 8 port hub for my LAN, but a friend recommended a switch to get closer to 100mbps speed. I know there are some differences between hubs and switches, but is there really a justification in price difference? Especially, if I can get an 8+1 port linksys switch for $160?
Also, anyone know of any other low price search engines besides pricewatch.com?
And last but not least, I plan to buy 2 >different< NIC's to go into a cable modem proxy server, which 2 NIC's would you recommend for less than $25?
Thanks,
Alan
