I just found a site that would tell me how to overburn and tell me how to burn 80' CDs and it lists those that won't do either: Sony drives and the HP 8100 series. GUESS which one I have! (8110) Woohoo!!!(sarcasm) /forum/frown.gif

That stinks... /forum/frown.gif
I have a burner which is not branded, but is claimed to be manuf by HP, so I guess I'd have the same problem.

What is the site?

Actually the 8110 is the only sony-made HP drive, so you should be ok.
Here's the site: http://www.cdfreaks.com/index3.html
And http://www.cdfreaks.com/index3.html

Well here they look like the same site but... /forum/smile.gif On the left menu, go to CD-R Technologies and to Overburning.

I have a Sony CD-r But can write 80 minute cd's. However, I have to buy ones that are made for 80 minutes/700MB (they cost a dime more than the others at the place I went to)

Oh no, a dime! I have a full high prices sony burner, but I can't afford an extra dime per disk for better capacity and quality!
