DMA???

What is DMA? Is my computer supposed to be running in DMA or something else. Sometimes I'll just be trying to get online and my computer will just shut itself down in the process. Sometimes I'll be online downloading something and the screen will just blurry lines. Does DMA have anything to do with this? If it does, how do I go about fixing it? If it doesn't, can somebody please tell me what I can do.

What are your system specs, OS, which browser/version, and the error messages (if any) you are receiving?
