Right now I have the Hp T-3000 tape drive connected to the Hp FC-20 accelerator card. This card uses an ISA slot which as you know takes an IRQ. Does anybody know what this motherboards floppy disk controller speed is? I believe it is measured in MB/Sec. If the controller is 2 MB/Sec then I can use the floppy disk controller on the motherboard and take the FC-20 accelerator card out. I know tape drives are outdated but it still comes in handy and I need IRQ's badly!
Thanks,
Jim

You can download a floppy disk controller tester from Iomega's website (as you have to have a certain speed FDC port to use their ditto drives and such or you have to use an addon accelerator card such as what you have.

I can answer one question. Yes, you can use the T3000 without the FC-20.
I have 4 T3000's running without them and they still work fine.
May be obsolete but they have saved my bacon many a time.
