This may seem silly, but do they ever post patches or updates for win98? or any os for that reason? or are the patches the things we all have to go buy on a cd (ex: win98se)?
Just curious if I was missing anything /forum/smile.gif

Most definitely! You need to go to your Start Menu, and hit Windows Update. Follow the instructions when you get to the MS site.

If you're running any MS Office, you'll want to check here also: http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/

When I receive the latest MS Security Bulletins, I post them here on this General forum, so keep a lookout for it after you get caught up! /forum/smile.gif

Just vist Win98 Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) site and when at the main update page rebookmark it! then to use it again just start your browser instead of clicking on the start menu link. and if you want to recreate the "quick Link" on the start menu bar open up tweakui and from there I belive you can recreate the shortcut.

Go to Product Updates. Why don't you have the Windows Update entry in your Start Menu?

You really should check it periodically in order to keep your MS updated, it's important for stability (ha) and security (haha) /forum/smile.gif Seriously, though.

This page can be pretty useful for some of the updates/downloads if you do not wish to do all the updates by download everytime you load windows: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.asp?
Just select the operating system/MS product for which you want downloads/updates and it will display a list of available downloads. These aren't auto installed unless you so choose.

What about upgrades like downloading the differences from Win98 and WIN98 SE?
