keyboard malfunction

I recently downloaded a game which I believe to have changed the function of my control and alt keys. When I press them I get an error sound and I can no longer ctrl alt delete. I've scanned for a virus-none. I believe I just have to change the message the keys are sending. Or re-map them, I don't know the word for it but can anyone point me in the right direction? Any suggestions would be helpful. If it matters, I am using win 98. :p

Sorry to hear of your plight http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif This is a new one on me but you might try uninstalling the Keyboard in the device manager and then rebooting and letting it reinstall itself and see if that corrects the problem.

Alternatively, uninstall the game and see if the problem resolves. If not, do what MtnSnow suggested AND unistall the game. You could also try a different keyboard or try your present keyboard on a different machine.
