OK here is what I want to do. I have one computer (a desktop) and another (Laptop) and I want to get the address book off of the desktop and the bookmarks off of the desktop and put them on the laptop. but I can't use the exporter in IE & outlook.
Which folder/files do I need to copy over from the desktop to the laptop.
TIA,
BC

This sir .... is very difficult, although I know someone who knows how to do it. The problem is, if I remember rightly, that IE5 is integrated so much with Windows that in order to copy your address book you need to copy about 25MB of space.

E-Mail me if you still want a reply and I can certainly find out (take about 2 or 3 days)

To get the Favorites you just copy the Favorites folder under the Windows folder. As for the Outlook personal folders and all that mess do a search for the .pst extension on the drive and copy it - s/b outlook.pst - it is in the
ProgramFiles\LocalSettings\ApplicationData\Microso ft\Outlook

That should get you what you want.

ok... just go to "program files\outlook express" and copy the file "wab.exe" and save to disk (or whatever)...

then, to save your personal addresses, you will have to do one of two things (or maybe even both)...

ok, if you have multiple users on your computer (or atleast the capability enabled), then you will have to go to "windows\profiles\XXXX\application data\microsoft\address book" and copy the "wab" file there (it is an address book file, so that's an easy one)... BTW, "XXXX" stands for the user name there...

if you don't have multiple users, then just go to "windows\application..." and copy it there....

well, i hope this helped... and if you need anything more, just post or e-mail me...
