Surround Works but no four point?

hmmm...

okay, i have the Creative Labs DeskTop Theater 5.1 DTT2500 Digital Dolby Digital Surround Speakers with the Creative Labs SB LIVE! Platinumb sound card. for some reason i'm having a problem. For whatever reason the speakers will not play from just the FourPoint setting when i set the receiver to that setting. the surround sound works when i'm playing a dvd but when i set it to four point, only the front two speakers are working. anybody have any ideas? it's really quite frustrating

Well for what it's worth I just checked my system with the same result. Here is the description of FourPoint from CL's fold out on the decoder box:

. . . Use this mode to play four channel positional games, like those supporting MS DirectSound 3D, Creative Environmental Audio Extensions (EAX)software titles, or its derivitives."

It probably requires those particular inputs to demonstrate the FourPoint sound. It uses Line In and Rear In for the sound.
