Does anyone have a link to a site that can help me ID a particular modem from the FCC ID Number? It's got a WINBOND chip and a Cirrus Logic chip. ISA slot.
Thanks,
Donald

Thanks, Donald Zinzan 02-20-2000, 11:58 AM Normally modem identification can be done through CONTROL PANEL>MODEM and then click the diagnostics tab at the top. "More Info..." will reveal a list of ATI references relative to your modem. Generic references for identification though are: The ATI commands interrogate the modem and returns the relevant information. I0 Request product code I1 Request firmware checksum I2 Validate internal firmware checksum (OK response) I3 Request software release code I4 Product identifier. Hope this helps Zin RobRich 02-20-2000, 02:35 PM Try this: http://www.windrivers.com/BEGINNER/fccid.htm RavenStandsAlone 02-21-2000, 12:19 AM Sorry, I was not clear enough. I need to identify the manufacturer so that I may download the flash to upgrade it to 56K. Thanks for the input, Raven SysOpt.com
