tried to set up ms outlook to send email via hotmail--using the "accounts" menu

get message.."access denied..username/password incorrect"

what am i (probably) doing wrong....i entered email address/password as requested in the setup instructions.....

suggestions please.

It would help if you said which version of Outlook you have.
