Does anyone know where to find the "win98 B"
file that is supposed to fix the shut down problem? Or could there be a problem with one of the Compaq updates that I recently installed.
When I try shutting down the pc restarts!

You can use the Windows update utility on your Start menu to bring you to the Windows update site. If that feature isn't available in your Windows OEM ver. I saw the patch at the PCWorld website, www.pcworld.com, (http://www.pcworld.com,) under the Fileworld tab. Of course, you can always go to the Microsoft website and find it there. Hope this helps!
