How can I transfer VHS movies to a PC?

I don't want to lose movies I have on VHS. I would like to either send them to my USB flash drives or PCs HD. How can I do this? I use Windows XP Pro. Anyone know exactly what I would need to buy to convert? Thank you in advance :D

I very recently bought this product (in the last 3 weeks) - http://easycap.co.uk/ - it works on scart, RCA or svideo out to USB2. Very simple install and easy to use. Works with WinXP, Vista or Win7. Supports both PAL and NTSC.

It uses "ULEAD Video Studio SE" for the editing and converting which is also easy to use.

So far I have converted three old VHS videos without any problems.

It costs about €30 in total.
