I just DLed it and am going to try it in the next few days. I just asked the exact same question in the OS forum here at Sysopt. You can check out what they said but it doesn't really answer your question...

Dave jad1097 02-17-2000, 01:59 PM You could do a search on this site for Winlinux, you should find quit a few post. I had the beta version back in Dec., still have it on cd somewhere. I am not exatly sure what version they are at now. But here is what I remember. I thought it was like a set of training wheels for Linux, it will help you get the feel of the OS, it looks and acts like Linux. Easy to set up, abit slower than Linux acutaly is. I would recomend anyone wanting to explore Linux to give Winlinux a try first. It saves you the hassel of patitioning you drive,etc.. Kenny Graves 02-18-2000, 12:33 AM Anyone ever heard of or use this version before? Legoboy 02-18-2000, 02:06 PM Yep, I agree, WinLinux is an excellent introduction to the full on Linux, the set-up of Linux is not for the faint hearted so WinLinux helps to introduce potential converts to this powerful operating system. Erm...what was the question again? ;-) Legoboy SysOpt.com
