I installed an image editor, then deleted. After I restarting I can no longer preview image files. Except .bmp files. What went wrong. If it matters I don't have any image editors on the PC, I just want to use IE to open image files.

Sounds like the uninstalling of the image editor may have deleted some shared files. Did you use add and remove programs to get rid of it? What type of image editor was it?
BTW don't ever use the one that comes with Nikon digital cameras.

Did you delete it or uninstall it? It may have become your default image viewer.

Go to the control panel; add/remove programs and see if its in there. If so, highlight it, click "add/remove" and see if your back to where you want to be.

It was MGI photo suite, I used add/remove programs to uninstall it. It did become my default image viewer. Any one know how to fix this.
