I have an Asus P4P800-VM motherboard. I am running Windows XP Pro & I am using an Antec True 330 psu. My computer is constantly powering down on and off constantly. When it first started I threw away the old Antec True 330 & bought a brand new one of the same type. It seems it's not the psu. I need some ideas of what It could be. I had a trouble with an old computer before & it turned out to be my BIOS. Can anyone give me any other ideas on the situation?

It turned out that it wasn't bad caps. I removed some programs that wasn't being used or didn't belong and my computer is working fine. I'm using it now.:t

I like the motherbaord that I have but I would like a motherboard that would use the same processor, memory and same amount of memory slots. What I need is improvements to the chipset and more pci slots. Do you know of any motherboard that uses the same parts but is improved with better features? I want to upgrade the board using the same model cpu and memory.

Socket 478 is really old. The 865 was one of the better chipsets, so I don't see much to gain.
