When I start the computer i get the following,

CMOS Checksum Failure
CMOS Display Type Wrong

press f1 to run setup
press f2 to use default.

My problem is that when I press f1 or f2 nothing happens...

My keyboard is ok ,

I havent found any info about the second Error Message/Code. ( CMOS
Display Type Wrong)
Any solution for this one??

Thanks in advance

Vega

Check for a jumper to reset your system CMOS, found on the motherboard. Or just pull the batt out for a few seconds and put it back in. Run with default CMOS settings the first time and then make any neccessary changes from there. Good luck.

You might be getting that error because of a dead CMOS battery, which holds your BIOS settings in memory when your computer is turned off. You can buy replacement batts for most Motherboards at Radio Shack.
