Hi,
The computer I work on is on a network, I have Win95 (OSR1) installed and the peripherals I have on the computer is a CD-ROM drive and an external zip drive.
When the computer is booted, the network takes over drive letters F,G,and S-Z. The hard disk I have is partitioned into 4 disks C,D,E (and F which I can't use due to the network drive), the CD-ROM takes H: and the removable drive is allocated G: (which also I cannot use)
Is there any command that I can place in a startup file which will default the Zip drive letter to a letter between G: and S: ?
In control panel the drive letter option is greyed out.
To get round this option I can right-click on the G: network drive and disconnect it, but this is inconvenient if I need to use something on it.
Thanks in advance to anyone who might help.
