Have a Toshiba Laptop that has Windows XP SP3. However I am having problem installing these 4 updates for more than 2 months now. Evertime I download the updates & install them, they error out. The error message is
"The following updates were not installed
Visio 2003 Service Pack 2
Update for Office 2003 (KB907417)
Update for Office 2003 (KB907417)
Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB977713)"
This keeps repeating everytime I try to install new updates.
Does anyone have a solution for this..?
Thanks

Why don't you just install Service Pack 3 for Office 2003?

There is a separate SP3 for Visio:

Hi Midknyte,
I tried installing those service packs - but about halfway through the installation, it stopped saying - Unable to install these updates.
Any other solutions?
Thanks

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling/reinstalling Office, then apply the service pack right afterwards

there will most likely still be residue left in the /temp folder, use the disk cleanup wizard to delete the left over corruption.
then download the service pack and install via safe mode. :)

Will try to do that. Hopefully it works this time.
