I am building a couple of Debian Linux systems, one of which I plan to give to my daughter. She is a big Messenger user so I'm looking for an alternative that will let her continue to talk with her friends. I have Pidgin but when I go looking for any info on it I can't find anything earlier that 2008. Makes me wonder if it is the right tool for this. Is anybody else using a Linux Messenger program that is compatible with Live Messenger systems?

aMSN would be the better choice, it has a similar look and feel to the actual MS MSN messenger. :)
