I get a error message "Couldn't load CMF.DLL check BinDir in XCM.INI. I have no idea what it is talking about. Thanks for any help.

Hi Ron C
Those aren't Windows files. Have you recently uninstalled (or deleted) a program?
If so, the uninstall process (or worse, if you deleted a program without using Add/Remove or the program uninstaller) may have gone awry and left some orphans. Again, if this is so, your best bet would be to reinstall the program and then try another uninstall.
Which OS are you running?

SOCALGAL thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I had removed an old scanner from my system and there were some files left that were causing me some problems. Once I deleted them everything is working fine. Problem solved
