Yes, you need an adapter, commonly called a slocket.

The BH6 would be just fine with a C400.

First timer trying to put together a machine could do with your help:
1) The Celeron apparently goes in the 370 socket. where on the female body is that? I can only only find socket 1 and 7 ? do I need adaptor ?
2) What's the diff. between celeron 400 and the PPGA version ?
3) Is my setup of Celeron 400 and Abit BH6 a good mix?
