Hi I have a Gigabyte Motherboard GA-M51GM-S2G and I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
I have 4gb of ram but when I load in windows I can see that I have only 2.5gb of ram for use.
At resource.exe it says that 1,543Gb of ram is contained for hardware use. I searched the web I find out that with the memory remap feature I can use that 1.5gb of ram but I can't find this option in bios. I updated bios at the latest F16A and all the previous bios nothing happend.
Motherboards specifications says up to 16Gb of ram.
So I am asking is there any way that the memory remap feature is somewhere else exept the chipset features (press ctrl+f1 when in bios main screen) ?? or I have to change motherboard?,
or is something wrong with the ram dimms? when I was using vista 64-bit I had 4gb ram availabe and for use.
If anyone knows something or finds something please respond thank you.

Hold the Windows Flag and hit the Break/Pause key.

That will open up system , now read the system type line.

From what you posted it should read 32-bit operating system.
