Does a 133 mhz processor need a special mb that runs at 133. I have a abit bx6 rev 2 will it work with this mb? Also have pc 100 corsair ecc ram. Also it was suggested in a previous post that a coppermine 500e is a good chip for o/c. I looked up this chip and it said FCPGA for Socket 370 mboards only. So that tells me that it will not work in this mb. Is this correct. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your APG bus will be running at 88.6hz over clocked from 66.6hz (Possible but a little hard on the vidio card). Your PCI and ISA bus's will also be OC as well (hard on your PCI cards, IDE Devices, and floppy drives)
All that said the 500e chip is a 100hz chip not 133hz and should take some small OCing without to much stress on on your other components say around 112hz (560)
The 500E is one of the best OVerclocking chips you can use with the BX6-R2. It will do 750Mhz Plus. All you need is a Slotket adapter for Coppermines.

Thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated. If I could not go with the 500e I was wondering about the 133 mhz series. Once again Thanks.
