I have an Accounting user that is having a serious problem keeping her system up for any period of time.
She has 2 accounting packages 1 in Dos (please no flames, it works and wont be upgrade to new verison until late this year or early 2001) The other package is a windows based.
This user can not keep more than 1 program open with out crashes or freezes. The latest series of problems are when the Dos program freezes the whole system while returning to windows.
Does anyone have any experience in falkey dos programs?
While a fresh reload of windows 95/98 fix this.? Is NT more stable.?

First off, what accounting program are they using and version #?

How much ram is on the machine?

When is the last time they deleted temp files, internet cache files and ran defrag?
