Ive been having a ******* of a time with my Sblive when istalling liveware.IRQ conflics ,video acting crazy, system lock ups.
Ive asked Creative for help 4 times and they dont seem to care to answer. So im hoping to get something here.Ive seem to have fixed the Conflic problem , my video is looking ok.Now my system hangs on shut down or i get blue boy poping his ulgy head.I have a ASUS P2B440BX board with windows98Se also an Ati 128 ragefury32mb card .Ive read through some of the postings here and noticed that poeple are saying to disable the sb16 emulation. Is this the bugger to my hardships?
Any help would be greatifuly eccepted.

tip 1: Move it to a other pci slot
tip 2:diable temporaly the usb in the bios and then install it

and The pci slot next under the AGP shares most of the time the same irq as the agp slot so put it on a other pci slot and try again !!and assign a irq to vga in bios !

wondering why you said to disable the usb. is it to free up an IRQ for the sb? I'm wondering, because my sbl is causing windows 98 to lose my USB mouse. I have no listed conflicts. If you wan't check out my post on USB problem, or power supply problem.

sorry to divert from the original question.

I have a SBLive! Value as well and I love it, except for the SB16 Emulation. The PnP settings push the IRQ to above 7 (actually 9) and that's too high for some older games. That's the ONLY problem with the card though as it kick some serious ****. As far as your situation, the slot relocation is a good start, and also check your system for IRO steering and make sure it's enabled. This will allow you devices to share an interrupt without hanging! GOOD LUCK
