I recentrly tried to see a movie on mpg and the performance was really bad.
It would lose frames all the time, and there was endleass tearing all over the place.
What could cause that? I am using Microsoft media player 6.4, on a celeron(A) 375Mhz, 128Mb and a Matrox Mystique 4mb.
Last year I could see mpg movies on a pentium mmx 200mhz and 64Mb of ram with no problem at all.
It can't really be the celeron's fault right?
I even tried copying the mpg from the cd to the hard drive but the improvement was minimal.
Any suggestion is welcome
