sound card

i have a sound blaster awe32 sound card that i connected to both a cd-rom and an iomega rewriter. when i play audio cds the sound only comes from one speaker, when i remove the audio cable from the rewriter the sound comes from both speakers. does anyone know if the sound card or the rewriter are causing this problem. thank you.

What happens if you just have it hooked to the rewriter?

heh, didnt know that those 'lil ide slots on the SB's would control a re-writer, does it work? And yes good point, what happens when only th re-writer is hooked up. If you are out of IDE slots, then you can get an i/o controller card thatll give you more but you need an open pci/isa slot.
