Sounds play at low/slow pitch!

Why does the music in some of my mp3 songs and fifa2000 seem to play at a low/slow pitch? How can I fix this problem without changing my soundcard?

If you are using Win9x try removing the card in device manager and rebooting so it re-installs. Sounds like a driver issue.
Also check the manufacturer's site for updated drivers.
