PRINTER PROBLEM

I have a Canon BJC-4400 color inkjet printer. While printing onto Photo Glossy paper the printer beeped. It continued successfully printing, but the light was flashing green & orange for the remainder of the job. Now it gives me a quick beep on power up and I get a Message saying the printer is not ready and to check the cable etc...! There are no print jobs waiting. I've tried cleaning, reinstalling, but I get the same thing. The printer is only a year old ANd I have used Heavy photo paper in the past on the unit with no problem. Please Help!

Had something similar. My cable was barely contacting in the port. The screws were tight but you could push on it and the printer would quit griping.. Some printers don't like the 117# paper, check your manual. Does the mfg. have a website forum for users ?? lotsaluk , Take me to your leader.
